Come along to our meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere, and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors.

Bring your own materials which can be anything from pencils or pastels, to watercolour or oils.

If you are a complete beginner all you need to start are a couple of good drawing pencils, a rubber, and a drawing pad.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Alexis Miller
Alexis is a Las Vegas artist who loves to paint and draw. She is originally from Iowa and moved to Nevada in 2021 during the pandemic. She received her bachelor's degree in fine art from the University of Northern Iowa in 2020. Although Alexis mainly focuses on oil paints, she is also proficient with acrylics, watercolors, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, and performance art.

Alexis' art is heavily based on nature, the human body, the emotional experience, and sexual expression. She also works on commissions in her free time. During this current period she is mostly interested in Spiders, or other creatures that are usually thought of as scary. She finds them beautiful.

Her son is a Huge marvel fanatic and she was wanting something cool big and colorful for his bedroom for Christmas and asked if I would paint him something so I painted this :). Since then I have painted Spider-Man and Captain America. He absolutely loves them and is now in college and still loves them as much as I loved doing them!

Title or Location: Execution Rocks Lighthouse
This lighthouse is in Long Island Sound (NY) and can be easily viewed from Sands Point where I grew up. Known as Execution Rocks, condemned Revolutionary War prisoners and Colonials faced death in these unforgiving waters at the hands of British soldiers. Chained here at low tide, fated prisoners slowly drowned as the tide rose. Thanks to photographer Roy Schneider for the inspirational photo.

I was in Mexico on vacation and notice and enjoyed the culture is full of beautiful colors. Upon returned to the United States I had to get those colors down on paper. The Mexican people love celebrations, this painting is depicting a bride with color. This brought back to my memory of my time in the Azore Island. I combined my memories of both.
